Premiere Event Management is celebrating our 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!
Yes, you read that right. We have been in business in Camrose for 10 wonderful years!
While planning this large milestone in my business, it has me reflecting back on where it all began. In fall of 2008, I looked around our community to see which needs I could help fill. I was inspired to make a difference and to give back, to help take stress off our clients such as non-profits who were wanting to fundraise to continue their programs, to brides and grooms that didn’t know where to begin or how to bring their vision to life and to business owners, looking to spread the word about their products, services and to share their journeys.
What we do:
In 2009, the Enchanted Bridal Show was born, creating a chance for local Wedding Vendors to meet with local Brides to help ease the stress of their big day and provide a variety of options.
In 2014, the Empower Women in Business Conference came to life, attracting celebrity speakers and entrepreneurs from across Canada to attend.
In 2016 with great success with our own business, we created our Social Media services, offering business owners training, coaching and management, taking away the day to day stress and assisting with increasing exposure and profits a variety of platforms.
I am so proud of what has developed from these events and I can’t wait to see what else the future holds.
Recently, I have been asked an interesting question that I would love to share with you:
What is the most rewarding experience you have had in the last 10 years?
I have so many amazing experiences that come to mind but here are two that stick out...
1. Every wedding that I coordinate, I always contact the Groom (secretly) and ask if they would like me to deliver something special to the Bride on the morning of their Wedding (quite often this is one of the many small details missed). The Groom becomes so excited, thinking about how happy the Bride will be and I can’t wait to see her reaction.
At the beginning of September, I got the chance to deliver a very sweet love note and a single stem rose to one of our beautiful Brides. As I watched her read the note, she cried many happy tears and for just one moment, on one of the most hectic days of her life, she was able to forget about all the stress and remember why this day is also one of the happiest days. She was marrying the love of her life. It has to be one of my most favorite parts of the Wedding Day.
2. The second most rewarding experience I have had was the day of the very first Empower Women in Business Conference. Arlene Dickinson from CBC’s Dragons’ Den was our Celebrity Keynote Speaker and created a lot of buzz within our group of 300 attendees. Many of our attendees mentioned she was a huge inspiration to them; they couldn’t believe they had the opportunity to see her in person and hear her story. When it came time to host the Meet and Greet portion with Arlene, at the end of the day, we had a long line up of contest winners who would have a few minutes to speak with her and take a photo. Watching from the sidelines as entrepreneurs filed into the room, full of smiles, excitement, some were shaking and some even had tears rolling down their face. That was the moment when I realized this event was making a difference, it was not only connecting entrepreneurs to successful, celebrity women in business but to each other. And this event was just the beginning.
